Business Valuation Analyst

Shenehon Company, an industry leader in business valuation and real estate appraisal is seeking a Business Valuation Analyst to join the business valuation team in our Minneapolis office.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: The Business Valuation Analyst will prepare professional valuations for business enterprises and intangible property rights. Assignments may include professional practices, service, retail or manufacturing concerns, minority interests, limited partnerships, limited liability corporations and other unique valuation challenges. Assignments may involve mortgage financing, condemnation feasibility, potential sale or purchase, gift and estate, divorce, dissenting shareholder suits, valuation of "limited and general partner interests in real estate and business partnerships," internal management decisions and the allocation of purchase price.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High level of understanding of valuation concepts, financial theory and general accounting
• Superior critical thinking and analytical math skills
• Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Research oriented
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Able to work both independently and in team environments
• Must be able to give attention to detail while having the ability to step back and see the "big picture"
• Able to meet deadlines
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting, advanced degree a plus
• MS Office with advanced Word and Excel
